Our process
From an idea to a piece of jewelry with meaning
We’ll start with a no-obligation introductory meeting. If you’d like to work with us to further develop your piece of jewelry after that, we’ll schedule a design and consultation session.
Our process
Four steps, one special piece of jewelry
From initial introduction to completion, we take you through a clear and personalized process.
Welcome
01
Introduction
We always start with a free introductory session of about 15 minutes. This can take place at our studio in Annen or via an online introductory session using WhatsApp video.
Given the unique and personal nature of our work, we believe it’s important to establish a good rapport. This rapport forms the foundation for the rest of the process and for the trust needed to create a special piece of jewelry together.
Would you like to meet our team and take a look inside our studio? You’re more than welcome to join us for our open studio day Experience the Jewelry .
The design
02
Design & consultation
During the design and consultation meeting, Bram and/or Margriet will take plenty of time to discuss your wishes, and together we’ll determine the direction of your piece of jewelry. Among other things, we’ll discuss the design, the materials, any gemstones, and the options available within your preferences and budget.
You can choose from three options:
– An existing design
– A custom design based on your idea
– A completely new, personalized design
After our conversation, we’ll work out the details of your needs to create a concrete proposal, and you’ll receive a personalized quote within about one week.
The design and consultation session, including the development of the proposal and the quote, costs €89.95.
Afterward, you are completely free to decide whether you want us to craft the piece of jewelry for you.
Making
03
Approval & production start
After agreeing to the proposal, you can make a down payment of about 50%. Then we start the manufacture of the jewelry.
Delivery time is usually between six and eight weeks, depending on the complexity of the job.
Throughout the process, you’re always welcome to stop by by appointment, and we may ask you to try on the piece of jewelry from time to time.
Final result
04
Delivery & completion
During the creative process, special moments sometimes arise that we’d love to share with you. Whenever the opportunity arises, we’ll send you a spontaneous photo or a brief update from the studio.
Once your piece of jewelry is completely finished, we almost always take a nice final photo for our own records. With your permission, we may also use this photo on our website and social media.
After that, we’ll invite you to our studio for the delivery. We’ll take our time to review and check the finished product together. The remaining balance is due online or upon delivery.
Would you like the creation process to be documented in more detail with multiple photos of the different steps? If so, this can be arranged in advance as an additional option.
Personal and transparent
Your ideas translated into jewelry
Throughout the entire process, we can keep you informed with photos and updates. That way, you’ll stay involved every step of the way.
Minor adjustments can often be incorporated during the manufacturing process. We always work with you to find the best solution and ensure that the final result fully meets your needs.

Our areas of expertiseCustom price
What determines the price?
Every piece of custom jewelry is unique. The final price depends, among other things, on the design, the amount of precious metal, the gemstones chosen, the technical execution, and any engravings.
To give you a good idea of the price range in advance, we use the following starting prices:
During the design and consultation meeting, we’ll discuss your preferences, options, and budget. You’ll then receive a personalized quote so you’ll know in advance how much your piece of jewelry will cost.
Material
The metal and gemstones chosen have a great influence on the price.
Think gold in 18 karat or 14 karat, silver or platinum. The color such as yellow, red or white gold also plays a role. The current gold price works directly into the cost price of the jewelry.
Complexity
The technique and number of working hours determine much of the price.
A simple ring requires less time than a design with fine detail, relief or a unique shape. The more complex the design, the more craftsmanship and time goes into it.
Engraving
Engraving is specialized work and requires precision.
The technique, depth and size of the engraving determine the amount of work. Think flat engraving, relief engraving or a personal monogram.
Gemstone
The quality, origin and size of gemstones play a big role in the price.
We work with carefully selected stones and always openly discuss the possibilities. It is also possible to supply your own stones.

Frequently Asked Questions
Have a general question about our methods or materials? Check out our frequently asked questions.
How long will it take for my jewelry to be completed?
Generally, please allow six to eight weeks for production after the proposal has been approved and the agreed-upon deposit has been paid. The timeline depends, among other things, on the design, the availability of materials, and the work involved. Rush orders are only possible by arrangement.
How much does a custom piece of jewelry cost at Burgant?
Custom jewelry made with your own gold starts at €845. A completely new piece of custom jewelry made from new gold, platinum, or silver starts at €1,295. The final price depends on the design, the quantity and type of precious metal, any diamonds or other gemstones, and the craftsmanship required.
Can I use old gold jewelry to make a new piece of jewelry?
Yes. Resizing and remelting cherished gold jewelry is one of our specialties. Think of your parents’ wedding rings, an heirloom piece, or gold you no longer wear but whose story you want to preserve.
Which gemstones can I choose?
There are many options: from diamonds, sapphires, and rubies to emeralds, aquamarines, tourmalines, garnets, and other unique gemstones. Lab-grown diamonds are also an option. We’ll help you choose based on color, cut, quality, budget, and how you plan to wear the piece.
