Materials we work with
The basis of every piece of jewelry
In our workshop, we work with high-quality precious metals such as gold, silver, and platinum, as well as the most beautiful gemstones. Each material has its own unique appearance, character, and possibilities.
Our Craft
Craftsmanship begins with the right material
The choice of material determines not only the look of a piece of jewelry, but also its durability and wearability.
In Burgant’s studio, we work with carefully selected materials and gemstones. We also often incorporate existing jewelry, heirlooms or old gold into a new design.
This creates a piece of jewelry that is not only beautiful, but also carries personal meaning.
The foundation of any design
From idea to detail
Design & visualization
We always start with a sketch. Together, we then determine which method best suits the design: traditional goldsmithing or a project that utilizes 3D technology. A combination of traditional and 3D techniques is also possible.
With a 3D design, we can explore shapes, proportions, and details digitally in advance.
Making process
The sketch comes to life because we’re actually going to make the piece of jewelry. During this process, we’ll craft the piece using a variety of techniques. We’ll keep you updated with photos and videos.
Setting & finishing
The final step involves setting the gemstones, refining the piece with engravings and details, and carefully completing the finishing touches. Then comes the delivery: a special moment when your piece of jewelry truly comes to life.
Our passion
Working with gemstones
Adding gemstones to a piece of jewelry is the finishing touch. Purchasing gemstones and having the opportunity to work with gemstones brought in by the customer sometimes really gives us goosebumps.
A stone can touch us and its unique characteristics can trigger different emotions in us.
The beauty, the rarity; gemstones are amazing creations of nature. To gemstones you do not add anything, they are beautiful by themselves, beautiful as they are. ‘Naturally beautiful and pure’ I always say.
Our Craft
Setting & finishing
The choice of materials forms the foundation of every design. Precious metals and gemstones together determine the appearance, durability, and feel of a piece of jewelry.
In our studio, we combine traditional goldsmithing with modern techniques. This allows us to create both classic and contemporary designs.
Much jewelry is created from a combination of new material and existing elements, such as old gold or gemstones from family jewelry.
What we work with
Materials & stones
From diamonds to saltwater pearls, the material determines the character of each piece of jewelry.
Here are some of the most frequently chosen
Diamond
Diamonds, often cut in brilliant form, are known for their exceptional brilliance. Because of its hardness and clarity, diamond is a popular stone for engagement and wedding rings.
Lab-grown or natural
Sapphire
Sapphires come in a variety of colors; the color palette of sapphires is extensive. The most well-known is the deep-blue sapphire. This gemstone symbolizes loyalty, wisdom, and durability.
Choosing Gemstones
Emerald
Emeralds stand out for their rich green color. Each stone has small natural features that contribute to its unique appearance.
Choosing Gemstones
Ruby
Rubies are known for their intense red color. This gemstone is often associated with love, strength and passion.
Choosing Gemstones
Pearl
Pearls are known for their soft luster and timeless elegance. They come in different varieties, such as freshwater pearls and saltwater pearls, each with its own look, shape and character. There are also natural pearls and cultured pearls. In jewelry nowadays, cultured pearls are almost always used, which are still real and created naturally in a shell.
Choosing Gemstones
Platinum 950-1000
Platinum is a special precious metal with a natural white color, great durability and exclusive appearance.
In our workshop, we work with 950/1000 platinum, a high-quality alloy well suited for timeless jewelry with lasting value.
Which gold will you choose?
Gold 14,18 & 22 carats
Gold is the most commonly used precious metal for jewelry. It is durable, valuable and easy to work with.
In our workshop we work with different gold colors such as yellow gold, white gold and rose gold. Old gold can also be melted down and reworked into a new design.
Silver 925
Silver has a fresh white color and is great for sophisticated jewelry. It can be beautifully combined with gemstones or other metals. Because silver is softer than gold and platinum and oxidizes over time, it is less expensive and therefore often a more accessible precious metal.
Which gold will you choose?A piece of jewelry starts with the right material
During a personal conversation in our workshop we will be happy to show you different materials and examples.
Together we will look at which combination best suits your idea and the design of the jewelry.
So I also resell hosting, as well as the PerfMatters and Generate Blog subscriptions. But I actually want to double-check to make sure everything is correct.
You can view the invoices through my dashboard in XXL-hosting. And through E-Boekhouder, you can simply upload the invoices to the site itself or review them in advance. I also want to make sure all the subscriptions are correct, because I certainly don’t want to miss anything.
Try figuring that out. I’ll also give you the links to the right places in E-Boekhouder and in XXL-hosting or Super Space.
