You may have noticed: we have a new name and a new website. As of 2026, Goldsmith Margriet will formally continue as Burgant. Don’t worry, we have not been taken over and nothing will change about the people behind the company. On the contrary: this step feels like a logical growth of our family business.
Whereas Margriet was the face of the studio for many years, by now we no longer do it alone. Together with our team and as a family, we continue to build the company every day as it has become today. That’s why 2026 finally felt like the right time to choose a name that better suits who we are today.
The name Burgant was born from our family name Burger and inspired by the brilliant, the most iconic cut. A name in which family and craftsmanship shine together. And yes … we are, of course, just a little bit brilliant too, haha.
To avoid confusion, Goldsmith Margriet’ s website will remain online for the time being. Margriet Jewels will also remain active for the time being, so that our collections can still be admired and customers can continue to view prices. This will be phased into Burgant in the near future.
Through our new website we will take you through everything that happens behind the scenes. From special assignments and new techniques to stories about our team and the creation of unique jewelry. Regularly we will therefore share a nice blog about Burgant and everything we stand for as a family business.
